BIRDS and BUGS

PRODUCT GALLERY

Using carefully selected pieces of stained glass and cutting them in  a particular way, Charles Ciupa has created a unique look in all of his pieces of stained glass.  Then, using an 13th century concept, paint is applied to create the desired realism.

The individual birds, dragonflies and butterflies are sun catchers that are held in place on windows or mirrors by suction cups, or fishing line.

Stained Glass Birds

Charles has created a large inventory of birds of North America, all done in stained glass.  They are primarily song birds but include owls, woodpeckers etc.  All the birds are mounted on "tree branches" to simulate their natural environment.

Most of the birds are designed to be as close as possible to the actual bird but occasionally the artistic side appears and "fantasy" birds appear.

Stained Glass Bugs

This product line includes stained glass dragonflies, butterflies, ladybugs etc.  The dragonflies and butterflies are sold as individual items and the smaller "fantasy" bugs can be used as pendants, desk top items, or put onto screens as a means to prevent screens from being damaged by people and pets walking into them.

Stained Glass Panels

By combining various birds, dragonflies or butterflies into a single presentation contained in a brass hoop, panels are created and paint a stained glass picture.  These panels vary with the quantity of individual pieces contained in the panel.  The panels themselves vary in size from 9 to 30 inches.
